It's time for action because, let's be honest, influencers, AI & self-help books are not............
We know how it feels to plaster on a smile and pretend you’re fine - but pretending never eases the heaviness inside.
So many people believe depression is simply about feeling sad. But what we see time and time again is exhaustion, guilt, and a sense of being stuck in quicksand.
If positive quotes alone could heal depression, our therapy room would be empty - but they don't touch the root of the struggle. It’s just not how our minds work.
It’s the same with anxiety, stress and trauma. Many clients have told us how they have been told that 'just think positive' and their anxiety, stress or trauma will get better. But, in reality, it often leaves them feeling more alone with their thoughts and feelings and memories.
Telling someone with anxiety to ‘just breathe’ is like telling someone in quicksand to just stand up in it. There’s also is a world of difference between running a hot bubble bath after a stressful day and sitting with a therapist who understands the impact of deep-rooted trauma or long-standing stress, anxiety or depression. These tips, while helpful on some level just won't repair the patterns that keep showing up - that takes deeper work.
Similarly, if you've tried self-help books or podcasts but still feel like nothing changes, there's a reason: information isn't the same as support. Listening to unqualified ‘influencers’ on social media or typing problems into AI and expecting a cure to all your problems isn’t going to help in the long-term either. In fact, it’s likely to make your problems worse over time.
If self-help tips, unqualified influencers and AI were enough, you wouldn’t still be lying awake at 2am with the same heavy thoughts. Healing needs more than bullet points, running relaxing baths and unqualified people giving out unsafe advice.
If quick-fix self-help books, influencers and AI actually worked, we wouldn’t see so many people still feeling stuck after reading shelves full of self-help books, watching endless videos by influencers or typing a multitude of problems into AI. Books, influencers and AI don’t care about you and your wellbeing.
Healing needs genuine human connection and professional support. It needs qualified and experienced professionals who genuinely care and prioritise your wellbeing. It needs people, like our team, who can help you see the bigger picture and who understand the difference between surface-level advice and deeper therapeutic work..
So, if you want to experience genuine care and connection with a qualified therapist or dietitian who can work with you on a tailored, individual basis to achieve long-lasting results and a REAL chance of healing and improving life, then get in touch with us now. Don’t wait until tomorrow – do it NOW. Make that choice today. We’re here, waiting. We've dropped our contact details in the comments below. It's time to take action. You know it.
